How recirculation works
A small pump moves cooled water from the far end of the hot line back to the heater, so hot water stays close to the taps.
When the pump fails, the wait comes back.
Fixing a pump
We test the motor, impeller, check valve and controls to find the failure.
Replacement
We install a matched pump and set the timer or button to your routine.
Crossover valve kits work in homes without a return line.
Signs your loop has trouble
The far tap takes as long as it did before the pump, the pump body feels hot, or you hear a steady buzz from the heater closet.
Photograph the pump label and the timer face. Most models have parts or direct replacements available.
Quick answers
Does a recirc pump use much power?
Timers and buttons keep run time low.
Can you add one to my system?
Usually. We check the heater and piping first.
